Espresso di bimota
KB399 ES
For an even richer bimota experience, the Edizione Speciale, with all the great performance and equipment of the base model, is further enhanced by dry carbon-fibre bodywork, Öhlins STX46 rear suspension, and billet aluminium handlebar fork clamps and footpeg assemblies
Offering a mid-class model is atypical for bimota, but that is part of the KB399’s charm. Its In-Line Four engine aligns perfectly with bimota’s racing spirit. In terms of performance, it is exciting and fun to ride, with a power delivery that allows riders to confidently open the throttle. Enhancing the engine’s high-revving performance, a specially prepared Akrapovic silencer is fit standard.
Racy styling inspired by the KB998 Rimini is more than skin deep, with the same commitment to quality and craftsmanship evident throughout. From the bodywork designed and sculpted by Italian craftsmen, to the billet aluminium pieces, and elegantly painted frame, the KB399 looks every part an ambassador for the bimota brand.

KB399 & KB399 ES KEY FEATURES
A Condensation of bimota’s Racing Spirit
With its compact, lightweight package, the KB399 is an ideal model to experience bimota’s sensual appeal. From the quick-revving engine that lets riders feel that their wrist is connected directly to the rear wheel, to the precise, nimble handling that gives riders the confidence to carve around corners on the racetrack, all the settings for the KB399 were guided by bimota’s deep passion for racing.
Premium In-Line Four Engine
Powered by a high-revving In-Line Four engine, the KB399 delivers class-leading power. The engine’s quick-revving nature, direct throttle response and a flexible character combines strong low-mid range torque and screaming high-rpm power—something riders will find particularly enjoyable when track riding. Adding to racetrack enjoyment, a lightweight titanium Akrapovic silencer designed specifically for the KB399 enhances the intoxicating howl of the engine.
Only the Finest Chassis Components
Complementing the compact and highly rigid frame, bimota carefully selected high-grade chassis components that would enhance the KB399’s handling and draw out bimota’s particular riding feel. A fully adjustable ø41 mm inverted Showa SFF-BP front fork is paired with a Showa BFRC lite shock unit on the standard model, and an Öhlins STX46 unit on the ES model. The Brembo brake package includes radial-mount Stylema monobloc calipers—high-spec components from a highly regarded manufacturer.
Trellis Frame: Superb Handling Chassis
While the KB399 offers light manoeuvrability when riding in town, its high-level supersport handling character becomes apparent when sport or track riding. Hints gleaned from World Superbike racing were used when deciding key chassis components, extra care was taken to achieve an excellent rigidity balance, and high-grade suspension and brake components contribute to the KB399’s superb handling performance. As a result, the KB399 behaves similarly to the KB998 Rimini on corner entry. When fully banked through a corner on the track, the high level of composure and excellent feedback that allows riders to feel connected to the ground are confidence-inspiring, enabling them to explore limits.
Styling Inspired by the KB998 Rimini
The looks are pure bimota. Racy styling inspired by the KB998 Rimini integrates bimota’s signature aesthetic beauty and functionality. The bodywork—made from dry carbon-fibre on the ES model’s upper, side and lower cowlings—is designed and sculpted by bimota craftsmen in Italy and even features winglets like the KB399’s WorldSBK sibling. Even the trellis frame is painted in a colour newly developed for this model. Manufactured in the Rimini region, machined billet aluminium pieces like the upper and lower triple clamps, and steering stem cap—as well as the ES model’s clip-on handlebars and footpeg assemblies—add high-quality touches much like the perfect accessories complement an elegant evening dress.
KB399 ES EXCLUSIVE FEATURES
Chassis Components
The ES model features an Öhlins STX46 unit. Fully adjustable for compression and rebound damping as well as spring preload, the high-grade gas-charged shock further elevates the KB399’s sport riding potential, offering excellent feel and contributing to composed behaviour on the track.
Ergonomics
On the ES model, the billet aluminium footpeg assemblies offer two height positions (standard, 10 mm higher). The shift pedal knob and brake pedal knob positions are also adjustable (eccentric adjuster: 10 mm in all directions), allowing riders to further tailor their riding position.
Styling
On the ES model, the upper, side and lower cowlings are made from dry carbon-fibre, contributing to both lighter weight and enhanced quality. Air vents cut into the bodywork were intentionally designed to resemble those of the KB998 Rimini.
Cockpit view
From the rider’s point of view, the KB399 cockpit is very similar to that of the KB998 Rimini. Complementing the high-grade full-colour TFT instrumentation, machined billet aluminium pieces showcase bimota’s dedication to quality and craftsmanship. Billet aluminium upper triple-clamp, and machined steel steering stem cap add high-quality touches to the area. On the ES model, the fork clamps for the clip-on handlebars are also billet aluminium pieces.
Winglets
Winglets built into the side cowlings further strengthen the KB399’s resemblance to the KB998 Rimini. On the ES model, the winglets are also made from dry carbon-fibre.
Pillion seat cover
To further enhance the KB399’s racy image, an accessory dry carbon-fibre pillion seat cover is available for the standard model. For the ES model, the piece is provided in addition to the rear seat for all markets except Japan.
Inexhaustible Engineering Elegance
Exciting base model features an engine and chassis with a high level of circuit potential, Akrapovic silencer, SFF-BP front suspension, BFRC lite rear suspension, Brembo Stylema calipers, and billet aluminium triple clamps and steering stem cap.
